The first act introduces the audience to Walker and Nan, brother and sister, and best friend Pip, with whom they grew up. The trio attend the reading of the sibling's father's will. Act two is set thirty years past. It explores the relationship between Ned and Theo, fledgling architects, and Theo's girlfriend Lina, and seeks to answer questions raised in the first act Julia Roberts will make her Broadway debut in spring 2006 in a revival of Richard Greenberg's "Three Days of Rain."
