Follow Quincey Quokka's Quest to make his way back home to his Mum and Dad. Along the way he must cross many habitats and encounter many creatures, but not all of them want to help Quincey. But you can. Through this book children help Quincey through a series of activities that require them to remember, control their actions and exert control over their thinking. In doing so, children gain valuable experience in support of their cognitive development. Created by Dr Steven Howard, a researcher in the development of domain-general cognitive processes (e.g., working memory, executive function, self-regulation, attention, intelligence) in the preschool and primary school years at the University of Wollongong and Early Start Research Institute in Australia, with author and illustrator Simon Chadwick. Packed with captivating and colourful full-page illustrations throughout featuring Australian wildlife and told in rhyme to make an engaging, entertaining and educational book to share and delight in. The book allows for repeated reading by suggesting different ways to engage in the activities with your child, requiring them to remember, control their actions and exert control over their thinking. In doing so, children gain valuable experience in support of their cognitive development.
