This "resource kit" contains the title, "Microsoft Windows NT Resource Guide, Volume 1", which provides technical information, including: architectural overview, set up and configuration, usability issues - fonts/scheduling/applications compatibility, networking/protocol stacks/inter-operability, and fault tolerance/performance monitoring/tuning, database services, migration and integration with Windows NT, troubleshooting. It also has value-added utilities and tools that make it easier to set up, support and manage Windows NT, featuring: the ability to easily set up large numbers of machines over the network, dump utility, modem pooling, FTP server and performance monitor templates. The registry guide explains credit, all the parameters in the Windows NT registry and how to configure them, and contains two disks with on-line version and an Access front end. "Microsoft Windows NT Messages Reference, Volume 2" explains every possible Windows NT error message, and includes two disks with on-line error message guide, plus Microsoft Access front end to search for messages. "Microsoft Windows NT Network Protocol Guide, Volume 3" discusses installation, configuration and management of a TCP/IP-based network. Some Windows NT customers will use TCP/IP, but not the Advanced Server, so it is included in this resource kit for these customers. All three titles are available separately.
