264p. A dark brown cloth hardcover book in good condition. Spine faded and corners rubbing through. The head and foot of the spine are starting to fray, and there is a jagged closed tear in the cloth at the bottom. Closed tears on the sides of the table of contents through page 4 (about 1.5" long). Light smudges on page 39. Page 261-262 is dog-eared. Otherwise, text unmarked. The rear hinge is cracking, but the binding is still generally secure for reading purposes. A very scarce early edition; the first two editions printed by McClurg in 1903 are hard to find and collectible. A classic of African-American literature by NAACP founder W.E.B. Du Bois!. Priority shipping is $10.50 for delivery by either UPS or Priority Mail. Delivery is within 2-6 business days and includes tracking and insurance. Economy shipping is $5.50 for delivery bu US Media Mail with delivery confirmation.
