Interessante raccolta di censure storiografiche (e di conseguenti risposte) indirizzate a Giovanni Gaspare Beretta, autore della dissertazione De Italia Medii Aevii, edita a Milano nel 1727. Alle numerose eccezioni l'A. risponde con puntiglio, pubblicando quindi tutto il materiale in tempi brevissimi.
