Qualche fioritura sparsa dovuta alla qualità della carta(più insistenti nella prima parte del volume), peraltro bell'esemplare. Interessante raccolta di censure storiografiche (e di conseguenti risposte) indirizzate a Giovanni Gaspare Beretta, autore della dissertazione De Italia Medii Aevii, edita a Milano nel 1727. Alle numerose eccezioni l'A. risponde con puntiglio, pubblicando quindi tutto il materiale in tempi brevissimi. Al centro delle contestazioni l'esattezza di riferimenti storici, geografici, etimologici relativi a diversi territori italiani, ma principalmente riferiti a Lombardia e Veneto.
