Contemporary full mottled leather binding. Sides giltstamped in center with emblem of the 'Society of Writers to the Signet'. Spines and edges worn, hinges rather weak (but holdings on cords). Contents a bit soiled in places, but mostly very good. Please see description or ask for photos.

Titel etwas angeschmutzt, sonst innen sehr schön.

LXV, [3], 137, [3] p., 1 tavola incisa ripiegata f.t.; 18,7 cm. Legatura d'epoca in pergamena, tit. manoscritto e piccolissima etichetta al dorso. Data manoscritta alla copertina posteriore. Ex libris disegnato a penna alla carta di sguardia anteriore. Fioriture nel testo ma per il resto in buone condizioni.

Condizione: Ottimo. In-4° (cm. 23,9), legatura coeva in piena pergamena (strappo al piede del dorso); tagli spruzzati; controguardie marmorizzate; pp. 910 [2] in ottimo stato e fresche, con 3 tavole illustrative in rame fuori testo, fregi e alcune illustrazioni silografiche nel testo; Ex libris impresso al foglio di guardia anteriore e antico appunto manoscritto al posteriore. 910 p., 4 tavole incise f.t., finalini incisi; 24,5 cm. Leg. d'epoca in pergamena, tassello con tit. in oro al dorso. In'ncisione applicata all'interno della copertina, circondata da scritta a mano a inchiostro, a mo' di ex libris. Piccolissima mancanza a un angolo del tassello sul dorso, piccolo pezzo di nastro adesivo all'interno delle copertine anteriore e posteriore, piccole mancaze ai margini bianchi di p. 127, 253 e 481, una piccola macchia di inchiostro a p. 287 sopra il testo che però si intravvede, leggerissima gora all'angolo inferiore di varie pagine centrali. Nel complesso molto buono, legatura molto solida, ampi margini, carta bianca senza fioriture.
