Part of the Visioni Italiche series (raccolta diretta da Cesare Rossi e Marco Boroli). I have priced this book at less than one half the price of the next least expensive copy because 3 of the 10 'aquarelli originali di F. Vellan' are missing. The remaining seven are all in excellent condition, very clean, no wear. They are full-page. There also 187 black and white photographs. They are all in excellent condition as well. The seven aquarelli originalis are all protected by a tissue guard. All of the tissue guards are in pretty good condition. One is cleanly detached over its top 2/5ths, but solidly bound at its bottom 3/5ths. One has a small crinkle near its top corner. Several have a thin stain at and around their bottom corners. They are otherwise quite clean. There are no tears. You can see the covers in the photos. They have some toning and soiling. There is a small area on the spine where a few letters are rubbed away. There is a thin tear off the bottom edge of the front side of the spine. The cover edges are in pretty nice shape. Each of the four corners have small areas of rub-through. The page edges look pretty good, one small tan spot on the top one, and a few small tan spots on the middle and bottom ones. The book is square and the spine is straight. The binding is solid. I found two or three instances where there was a very thin space at the juncture between facing pages. All of these pages are solidly bound from top to bottom. The thin stain I referenced on several of the tissue guards can also be seen in the same place on some of the pages. It is not terribly conspicuous, as it is quite thin and also very light, blending into the hue of the page. It is very far from the print and photographs. Some the facing pages also have a vertical amber discoloration on both sides of their junctures, again not reaching the print or photographs. I suppose it has to do with the binding material. There are also occasional instances of an amber spot off the top or bottom edge of a page. This appears to be foxing. I didn't see any man-made soiling. There are no markings in the book. There are no attachments of any kind. And no one has written their name or anything else anywhere.
