Laura Battiferri (Urbino, 1523 - Firenze, 1589), moglie dell'architetto e scultore fiorentino Bartolomeo Ammannati, fu una lodevole scrittrice nel panorama Cinquecentresco: fu infatti eletta all'Accademia degli Assorditi di Urbino e dall'Accademia degli Intronati di Siena. Galeazzo Florimonte, vescovo di Sessa, fu invece famoso per aver ispirato l'amico Della Casa, che intitolò il suo "Galateo" in riferimento al nome Galeazzo.
