Giuliari, Della Tipografia veronese., 1871, pp. 177 segg.: "Lo studio che predilesse il Giuliari, e coltivato avea fin da giovane, era come dissi l'Architettura [.] i disegni delle molte Opere Sanmicheliane Militari che lo strazio Francese mandava poco appresso in un muchio di rovine". L'occasione per la stesura del volume gli fu data quando nel 1793 il Conte Carlo Pellegrini, di cui era il Giuliari parente prossimo, finanziò i restauri della cappella di famiglia che versava da tempo in cattive condizioni: l'incarico di seguire i lavori fu dato al Giuliari stesso che nel contempo si impegnò a contattare i più valenti artisti per assicurarsi l'incisione su rame dei disegni del Sanmicheli eseguiti a mano da Giuseppe Barbieri, giovane artista e architetto veronese. La scelta cadde su Giacomo Mercoli (1745-1825), ticinese, cui offrì un generoso stipendio, vitto e alloggio a Verona per un anno e mezzo. Alla fine del 1816 l'opera venne finalmente alla luce, dedicata all'Imperatore Giovanni d'Austria, con note biografie del Sanmicheli, e genealogiche sulla famiglia Pellegrini. Il volume "costò all'editore intorno a 15,000 Lire Ital., davasi al prezzo di Ital. Lire 60", in sole 312 esemplari di cui soli 112 con le tavole e questi pochi per lo più omaggiati a Letterati, Dignitari, Principi e amici. Sulla prima carta reca un'annotazione manoscritta con il nome "Martinelli Ing. Jacopo". Lozzi 6888. Una lieviss. gora al margine bianco interno di alcune pp., uno strappo riparato alla tav.29, ottimo esempl. a pieni margini. [050].
