La variopinta scena del corteo dei Magi si snoda lungo le pareti del luogo fino a convergere sulla Adorazione del Bambino ad opera della bottega di Filippo Lippi. Una cronistoria che mostra i volti di allora tra cui si riconosce l'autoritratto del pittore, gli usi e i costumi di un'epoca, gli animali esotici e le altre curiosità che colpiscono gli occhi del visitatore. Il volume curato dalle storiche dell'arte Valentina Zucchi e Serena Nocentini si avvale anche della collaborazione di studiosi italiani come Cristina Acidini e internazionali come Diane Cole Ahl.
