He has been involved with photography since he was seventeen. After studyng graphics and painting, an exhibition of the work of Henri Cartier Bresson proved the deciding factor in choosing to pursue photography professionally. Inspired by the great humanist French and American photographer of Fifties, he began to work for Italian newspapers and weekly magazines, such as Epoca, L'Espresso, Panorama, La Repubblica. The presence of important professional photographers busy printing-lab of Luigi Carnevali gave him an opportunity to learn the more important aspects of his trade. Tazio Secchiaroli, considered a great teacher and friend, help him to have a large vision of photography. After a brief period working on movie sets as still-photographer, he started to travel frequently for various photoreportages. In recent years, some of his photos were published in important social/advertizing campaigns for Unicef, Caritas, Telefono Azzurro, Coni, Comune di Roma. In 1994, he founded a publishing house called "POSTCART" and with which he issued his first book of photographs "Rome in black & white". In addition to publishing and the production of calendars, cards, postcards, bookmarks and posters, Corrivetti continues his personal research in both photography and drawing. Presently he is working with many publishers frequently using material from his personal archives. In his city, Rome, has found again the themes wich fascinated him previously. In this first book about Rome, now at a second edition with the addition of new graphics and photos, he condenses a mosaic of images captured in twenty years of work, research and pleasure.
